Job Description: Scientist
Key Responsibilities:
In vitro transcription to produce mRNA at different scales to support the platform development and therapeutic programs.
RNA Purification using affinity chromatography (AKTA) and other strategies for purification.
Quality control assays for mRNAs like electrophoresis, ELISA, qPCR, etc.
Perform cell-based assays, such as cell culture, transfection, and flow cytometry.
Work closely with the manager and cross-functional team members on multiple tasks with the ability to analyze, interpret, and present data.
Assist in ordering reagents from internal and external suppliers and communicating with CROs.
Generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments. Demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within discipline.
Maintain electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN) in compliance with the Company Laboratory Notebook Policy.
Stay updated and in compliance on all departmental and corporate training.
Key Qualifications:
MS in molecular biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related field with 0-2 years of experience in biotherapeutics or genetic medicine or BS with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
Hands-on experience with nucleic acid preparation, purification (AKTA), QC, and cell-based assays.
Working knowledge of related tools/software (SnapGene, Prism, FlowJo, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
High-quality written and oral communication skills and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment
